There are also a few highlights of the penalty and Sevilla attacks.

"SevillaFC were defeated in Brighton with a result highlighted by a strangepenalty giving Brighton the victory, which only the referee saw.Apart from the score, Emery's team were generally sluggish but madeenough chances to at least draw. The most negative side was onceagain an injury, this time to Reyes, who got the worst of a clash ofheads over a fifty-fifty ball.

Thepenalty that only the referee saw explained why Brighton went in athalf-time with an advantage because Sevilla, though they were slowto get into the game, when they did were able to get clear chances onthe English goal thanks to their domination of the game. Emery's teamstarted a little out of touch but after the goal reacted thatnks toBanega's good leadership, Matos's activity on the right andKonoplyanka's touches. Both the Argenine and the Pole had chancesfrom distance and also a deflection from Krychowiak could have gonein as well as an attempt from wide by Matos. To go in one down athalf time was harsh.

Thechanges as much physical as in players positions, meant that Sevillatook time to get back into the game. It was not until the final partof the game when they came back with determination to get a draw, that they could have done so on a couple of moves from Denis andVitolo. Sevilla needed consistency and better finishing to not losethis game, which ends the period in which Emery has been giving outplaying minutes in the pre-season. One more practice, against AEKremains before the big preseason match, the Supercup in Tblisi.Hopefully, with forwards Gameiro and Immobile fit."

Real time from the East stand I called pen straight away as he was clearly blocked from running on to the ball. On that video though it does look very, very soft to be fair.

That penalty would not have been awarded in a league match. (Well maybe to Man U at Old Trafford in the 97th minute).
