Aberdeen pushed Celtic a bit last season. In fact if their head to head results were closer it would have been very close.
Chelsea won the premiership some time before Celtic had clinched the SPL as well.
Rangers are still paying the price for spending beyond their means trying to compete with Celtic, though they should be back after next season in their current form.

Indeed,the last champions of Scotland other than Rangers or Celtic was Aberdeen some 30 years ago
In truth same could be said for England too,other than Man Utd,Man City,Chelsea or Arsenal,the last winners outside that 4 was Blackburn 20 years ago
