Anybody use Apache Open Office instead of Word who can give some advice.

When writing a letter on paper with a header, how do I make it so the header only prints on the first page not every page.

It might be something to do with the chero key you are using.

I tried to contact Apache then found that after I had posted the thread on here. Somebody has PMd me with help many thanks.

You should move to Libre Office. It's written by the same developers that wrote Open Office but is more stable and advanced.

Good tip. My new computer is coming with no Ms Office install AMD was planning on using Open Office. Will give LibreOffice a try instead.

Can't believe anyone is mug enough to pay for M$ Orifice these days, glad to see people are using the free alternatives.

Do these free options deal with complex formulas and formatting in the spreadsheets now, then?
Last time I tried Open Office it was hopeless.

Also, MS Office is pretty cheap nowadays and actually works for advanced users.

Many thanks this has worked perfectly. Perhaps I didnt make myself clear what I actually wanted was the header to only appear on the first of a 2 page letter and this has sorted it.

You will find Libre Office is installed by default on many Linux Distributions. It does what it needs to do.

Bloody M$, they had it good for years but things have changed drastically for them over the last 15 years. I don't even use Windows anymore because Linux is enough now.
