Great win by the Murrays to take us into the semi finals of Davis Cup for first time since 1978. Last won in1936 and tremendous to see the commitment and desire our boys at Lords lost this weekend.

Australian team will probably be Hewitt and Kyrgios (if he behaves); Andy M should be able to beat them, and win the doubles with his brother. Then it is Belgium or Argentina in the final, not exactly scary.

Could this be the cup returning home?

The last time we were in a semi final of the Davis cup was 1981 losing 5-0 to Argentina according to the BBC website.

What is more unbelievable is how far GB have come in such a short period of time - we have jumped from the equivalent of league one to the top four of the premier league in 4 years

Still a 1 man team though. It would be good and easier for Murray if we had a 2nd world class player.

Jamie Murray is in the top 20 world ranking for doubles, and lost in the final at Wimbledon.
That's true, but it would still be handy to have another decent singles player , so Murray didn't have to play in 3 out of 4 matches.
