I had to give up my second ST as my Daughter could only make half the games and it did seem a waste of money. Then a price reduction meant the price went down (she is 20) so I went to buy back the seat but it was sold. I've regretted it all summer. Today the seat is available. In fact 10 seats next to me are empty (maybe telling me I smell!).
How can a seat be sold and then not sold?

Perhaps the club moved someone to that seat, and then they objected!!!

Perhaps it took ages for your release of the seat to show on the system as available - all the time it was showing as "sold" it was, according to the ticket website, still sold to you?

Have you checked today in the season ticket section whether that seat is still available?
Even if it is not shown as available, give the ticket office a ring.
