Strange that both men's and women's triple jump record were recorded at Gothenburg 1995.
Both increased the previous record by a significant amount (about 30 cm for Jonathan Edwards, 40 cm for Inessa Kravets) and have stood for the last 20 years.
I wonder if they measured them properly? Not to try and take away any kudos from the athletes but I can't imagine anything special about that night (not high altitude) that would account for it?
