'The Go-Betweens' were better than 'The Smiths'

I love both bands, but find myself listening to The Go-Betweens far more frequently than I do to The Smurfs these days. This is only one of their tunes that get me middle agedly blubbing when I'm in me cups.

No. Batchelor kisses is sublime but the Smiths have dozens of sublime tunes.

it's 'The Go-Betweens' though, isn't it?

Going to disagree, despite my love of The Go Betweens.

The Smiths stronger catalogue all told.

Each to his own.

The Smiths regularly send shivers up my spine, whereas The Go Betweens, nice as their music is, have never 'grabbed' me, emotionally.

It's The Smiths, isn't it?

I listen to XFM when I can. They don't seem to play much of the Go-Betweens. They play a fair bit of The Smiths, and their songs still stand out.
