Signed from Chelsea by Brentford (£750K)

Thought he was meant to be a future England prospect, another Chelsea failure, if he does as well as Bridcutt and Ince have done for us, they will have done alright.

Not too sure how he has done on loan in the championship.

That seems a pretty low fee on the face of it. However I've really not been that impressed when I've seen him, perhaps comparing him against a Wonder Boy reputation he didn't deserve. Wasn't he in the Eredivisie on loan last season? I thought that was far SUPERIOR to the Championship :lolol:

Had it all, money, Coronation St WAG etc far too early and now is on the decline. The problem is they think they have made it when they haven't got anywhere near and lose their hunger and desire, Chalobah seems to be going that way too

Along with the whole England U21 squad, or at least as reported recently.

A bit of a scoop for Brentford?

Not many signings in the Championship this summer have made me wake up and take note yet. Including the over-rated Tom Ince.

Right now I am thinking whether QPR will be able to hold on to Matt Phillips and will Blackburn have both Gestede and Rhodes in the new season? Will Middlesbrough sell another surplus winger?

Expect the Albion, Reading and Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham to be active in the transfer market.

Them spending 2.1million on a CB was a little more of a suprise.

Wednesday have made a fair few signings already.

The new owner seems to be putting his money where his mouth is.

Wednesday released quite a few players and like the other clubs mentioned are short on numbers.

As well as the ones you linked to they've signed a CB from Holland and a Portuguese striker for 2 mill, as well as another CB from Portugal on loan. The striker got 25 goals in the Portuguese top flight last year I think.

They seem to be going for it.

This was what I hoped for from the Albion last close season.

Before the signings, Wednesday were my tip as surprise contenders, because they had a few good players and a good defence. Loovens and Westwood and Hélan were better than the Albion equivalents of Greer, Stockdale and Forster-Caskey. And Lees is not bad either.

It's very interesting these days with premiershite teams offloading their youngsters to pay for some overpaid foreign hasbeen makes you wonder where our game is going.

Schweinsteiger signed for United tonight for 30 million. Rediculous.
