We need someone who will be able to play week in week out IMO. Buckley is not dependable and will now be on vastly exaggerated wages.

Class player when he wants to perform,

When he knows a big transfer is in the offing maybe less so much. He really let Oscar down.

What's his market value then?

Oh exciting times.

A Buckley thread, admittedly somewhat against the rules as it's not an actual 'band back together thread' (yet).
That must mean the Zamora thread isn't far away.
Closely followed by Orlandi, which can then only mean one thing.

The club signs someone only ever mentioned once on NSC.

No not at all, just pointing out he is wanted by some of our rivals that's all. Good to know who might be up against us next season.

I would take him back happily, not sure where we are going to find much better.....

Hope to be proved wrong by the scouting team.

One of the best wingers in the division when fit. Would welcome him back.

We need pace, and quality, and he has both.

Would have him back, but only if he *wants* to be back. He's shown that his head needs to be in the game for him to perform.

I'd have him back in a heartbeat, running down the wing for me ... do do do-do-do

I know people on here love to dismiss ex-players as suddenly rubbish the moment they leave our club, but that is just not the case, Buckley was excellent, and would instant improve our chances if he returned.

Fully fit and raring to go, you'd be a fool to turn him down. I guess the question is whether or not he'd be either of those things...

Hither (sometimes Thither)
Buckley has the crushing-torso legs of a Bond girl, so I can understand why he's a wanted article. If he wrapped his limbs around me in an assassination attempt then I'd merely flick him in the hamstring region, and off he'd fall and limp away.
