Bought a second hand car from a person who had it from new and is 9 years old.
With the new way of taxing the vehicle you cannot tax it online as you haven't got the V11 reminder .
The log book or vehicle ownership form is sent back to Swansea and only have the green slip V5C/2 so how do you tax the car or do you have to wait until the new ownership log book/ownership form arrives ??

When I bought my car, I took the V5 slip to the post office and got it taxed there

There should be a code on your V5C/2 that you can use.

No law against buying it, is there? He just can't drive it on a road

All we know is that the 9 year old sold it. He may have originally been given, or stolen, it...
