I will genuinely get fat in Canada, I know it.

I'll be off to Vancouver on a 2 year WHV, but looking to get work in my current field and eventually settle if things work out.
Currently deciding whether to go at the end of August with a moderate bank balance, or wait until February and go with a throbbing bank balance.

Today is the 99th Anniversary of the Battle of The Somme, a battle which saw The Canadian Newfoundland Regiment advance with 22 Officers and 758 other ranks, only 110 emerged unscathed.

It seems apt to post this.

The memorial to them at Beaumont Hamel.
