He must be thoroughly pissed off. Orient's gates will take a pounding especially if west Ham prices are low which they will need to be with all those seats to sell. Maybe Orient could ground share but West Ham aren't going to agree to that with the sweetheart deal they got from the Government (aka the taxpayer)

I think Hearn has sold-out at Orient,but still holds the ground (?) Dan Roan following was interesting a rent of 2M a year for a 54K stadium for 15M from WHU,yeah need to asked,bloody awkward ones too.

It is disgusting that Orient, the closest club to the stadium lost out to West Ham to use it. Shows that nobody really cares about the smaller, non-Premier clubs.

think people forget, including Hearn, that there was an offer of a ground share but he didnt want to pay anything for it. he wanted the premiership club to foot all the bills.
he's right on one thing though, all this goes right back to the design of the stadium. it was always going to be looking for a tenant post games, and always clear the most likely candidate would be a football team. there was a bidding process, Spurs made a half hearted effort (to make sure Haringay removed obstacles to redevelopement of White Hart Lane), some other sports and West Ham was the best on offer. not their fault the stadium wasnt made to accomodate football, and not their fault the Olypmic committee insisted on retaining capability of use for atheltics, both ramping up conversion costs. best of a bunch of poor outcomes, because of numpty politicians who refused to see the inevitable. still they got their gongs, their name in history footnotes, we pay for their vanity.
