I remember some American guy from the Deep South telling me once in New Zealand about how him and his mates go 'coon hunting' in the woods behind his ranch. I remember being somewhat surprised that this sort of thing still went on, even in Alabama.

I'm pretty sure this is a promotional photo to launch the racoon's campaign for World's Hardest Creature 2016.

The alligator is discussing it with his lawyer, his campaign could be over before it's even begun.

I once went possum shooting with a bloke in Deepest rural NZ outside Greymouth. Out there they try to run 'em over with their cars, they treat them like a menace as they eat all the native vegetation. In Australia on the other hand where they come from they're a protected species!

I suggested they caught all the NZ possums and flew 'em back to release in Oz, don't think it was taken seriously though. The Koori people (Abo's) used to make fantastic tribal robes out of possum skins.

American often shorten the word Raccoon to it's last four letters. I don't know why the mods change the title. It had nothing to do with any other meaning.
All that matters is how google sees it.

My avatar is a Maine Coon, which is short for raccoon. Nothing to get upset about.
