A pretty bizzare incident by all accounts by the sound of it. Best wishes to all concerned :(

I think Jon Lees and Chris Adams were glad to see the game abandoned, its a horrible thing to see, but then have to commentate on it, upsetting, they must be relieved they can get off air.

Glad they are both concious, sounds like another one of those nasty freak accidents that can occur, and, at least we get a point we wouldn't have otherwise had.

From the Argus

SUSSEX'S NatWest T20 Blast clash with Surrey at Arundel Castle was abandoned today after Moises Henriques and Rory Burns were involved in a sickening collision.

Three ambulances came on to the pitch to administer treatment after the two Surrey players crashed into each other at full speed while both were going for the same catch.

The game had to be suspended with both sets of players leaving the field while Henriques was given oxygen and placed on a drip.

The game was then abandoned, although, both players gave thumbs up signs as they were put on ambulances.

Sussex were 141-7 at the time with only eight balls remaining in their innings.

Press Association journalist Bruce Talbot, who was also present, said it was one of the worst accidents he had seen at a cricket match.
"I have been watching county cricket for 20 to 25 years and I have never seen an incident like this before," he told BBC Radio 5 live.
"Within seconds it was evident this was a serious incident."
