On a programme all about teeth last night, it was said that we should brush our teeth BEFORE we eat breakfast as, after, acid levels in our mouth are still high so brushing our teeth at this time can cause us to take enamel off our teeth.

Typically, on days when you eat breakfast, when do you brush your teeth?

Very quick freshener after I've rimmed your missus, then when she's done me breakfast I'll give them a proper brush.

Always clean them as soon as I get up. Eat breakfast and then I have a big gulp and gurgle of mouthwash before I leave for work.

Straight after shower, before breakfast.

Wasn't a conscious decision, just something I started doing as a teenager.

Sometimes I drag it out over the day, cleaning one tooth every 10 mins. Only if I've got the time, otherwise I can go months without brushing, I just chew chalk and leaves.

After breakfast, but 25 minutes after so the acid doesn't affect my teeth. I like a glass of OJ for breakfast so doing it straight away would probably do more harm than good

First thing I do when I get up. My mouth usually feels like a gerbil has slept in it, so I like to freshen up straight away.
