Just wondering if anyone on here has experience of this?
I am getting a classic and was wondering which is the best way, multi car or separate policy?
Thanks in advance

i havent had one for ages, but a straight classic car policy would probably be best. insurance as a second car with limited can be very cheap. Herts and Adrian Flux are the places to go.

Have always found that a separate, specialist policy is the cheapest way.

Most classic cars have their own following and more often than not their own web forum. You could probably get some decent advice there. There may also be an owners club that might get you some discounted insurance rates.

I've got my Porsche 944 fully comp, agreed guaranteed value, limited to 3,000 miles per year for less than £100. This is with a company called 2gether insurance.

As zx said, what you getting?

Another vote for Adrian Flux. Mine is about £170 per year including recovery. Remember its rare to get a no claims discount on this sort of policy. If you are in a club you normally get a bit of discount.

It is nothing exotic I'm afraid Citroen Dyane 6, though I also have a 1966 Gilbern GT which I hope to finish restoring next year.
Many thanks to everyone,

crosby insurance brokers 01915657590 does for me, I found that with Adrian Flux they wanted photos of the car including a photo of the mileage reading. Plus independent price estimates of the car every year.
