Hiking in Tuolumne Meadows and Tioga Pass

Going to the Tuolumne Meadows and Tioga Pass section of Yosemite later this month having done the valley a year ago. Anyone done any hiking there (up to 10-12 miles) and if so any recommendations?

Also spending a couple of nights at Lake Tahoe. Any particular recommendations as to what are the best things to do and see?
