Great to see from the attached article that we are still looking for a new goalkeeper and that the trail is hot. No doubt two more strikers and numerous other players are being pursued as well with every possible vigour and enthusiasm. But the big question remains - just who will we sing? It's going to be a long but fruitful break it would seem if all our efforts come to fruition.

I wish we wouldn't fiddle around with 2nd priority issues such as signing a keeper, when we should be focusing on the 6 signings we need anyway, of which the left back and top striker are the number 1 priorities.

By the way, Bournemouth have signed their 4th player now. Seems like they go on holiday after sorting out their transfers.

Doesn't sound as though we are "hot on the tail" of this keeper to me. His side have just been dumped out of the Dutch play-offs so he's hopping on a plane on Monday and going for talks with ........Nottingham Forest!! Meanwhile Albion manager Chris Hewton is on holiday and it is expected he'll renew his interest in this keeper when he returns. By which time he'll probably have signed for Forest.

It`s not Goalkeeper we need it`s a couple of GOALSCORERS.

So you're perfectly happy with Stockdale in goal even if Hughton thinks he can bring in a better keeper (don't believe all the guff about competition for the number one jersey) ?

Lot happier with Stockdale than our forwards..we let in 54 league goals, only Norwich,Bournemouth,Watford,Middlesborough and Sheff Wednesday let in fewer....So on goals conceded we finished 6th equal with Ipswich. Whereas we scored 44. Less than all but bottom three and Sheffield which on goals scored puts us 5th from Bottom.

I'm more than happy with Stockdale and Walton, and don't really see the sense of our goalkeeping strategy. As others have said, we've got far higher priorities to concentrate on: firstly, a goalscoring, line-leading forward; secondly, another goalscoring player, either a wide forward or attacking/creative midfield a la Teixiera; thirdly, a left-back; and fourthly, a centre-back.
The next tranche of players would include another striker and, a goalkeeper, if Walton is going out on loan for the season.
