Hell yeah, that's more than Virgil van Dijk went for. We'd able to pick up a decent CB for much less than £2.75 and have money over

Those who'd turn that down are totally bonkers

This, all day long. Especially if the player himself actually wants out, as has been rumoured.

He's served the club well and just under £3m is not an example of us being ripped off.

No, and Dunk should only go to a Prem club...

Gone are the days of selling assets on the cheap.

Hate Barber all you want but he isn't letting a young English centre half on a long contract, walk out of the club for a pittance.

You only have to look around the top 2 divisions to see what a rarity LD is.
Coupled with (for what it's worth) being statistically the Championships best defender, and he's a goal scorer.

Err, where has it been rumoured he wants out?

To put this offer into a bit of context -

Harry Maguire (22 year old centre back) was sold to Hull by Sheffiled United last year for 2.5 million. Maguire had no Championship experience and was rated no where near as highly as Dunk. £2.5 million.

We should be looking at closer to £4 million if we really want to sell.

No chance, he is on a long contract and was our best player last season - top goal scorer as well. If we sell, where are the goals going to come from?

I think he needs to have at least one more good season with us, hopefully towards the top of the table rather than the bottom. Saying that £10m and you can have him.

No.

It's far too early in the window to accept that level of bid.

Besides, rather than fiddling around selling and replacing players, we should be 100% focused on getting in the 6 players we need already.

Let's not give the recruitment team more tasks before they deliver on most of their existing ' To Do List '.

I'd drive him there for that. Honestly. We have shown with Upson that we can get replacements for free.

Centre backs generally do not demand a large fee. Would be amazed if we got anything near that for Dunk, lets not forget the countless mistakes he made.
