This is what makes Springsteens shows so special, along with his amazing back catalogue he pulls out little gems like this to make sure every show is unique, absolute legend!!

I don't think this is a Springsteen show. Billy Joel is playing piano, and probably lots more famous people dotted about!

Regardless, the statement still stands, I think it was billed as the E street band and friends, thanks for posting OP

He also introduce Darlene Love (Murtagh's wife in the Lethal Weapon movies, and sang 'Lonely this Christmas'), and Sam Cooke (soul man, cupid, chain gang, a change is gonna come, twistin the night away) is stood beside him (and possibly mistaken for jackie wilson by whoever uploaded that video). He also mentions

Doesn't rule it out it being a Bruce concert. Especially given it appears to have been televised/recorded for home video release. You often get guests on those sorts. Cher Lloyd and Sarah Bareilles both appeared on a Taylor Swift one, Billy Joel and Don Mclean appeared on a Garth Brooks one. Garth appeared on a Billy Joel one, too.

Sam Moore, not Sam Cooke. Sam Moore was half of Sam & Dave, who sang Soul Man. The other songs you list were by Sam Cooke who was shot dead in the sixties. The song they are singing was a Jackie Wilson hit. Their version is not very good. Shame, because Darlene Love, John Fogerty, Sam Moore and Billy Joel have all done great work and shouldn't have to be wheeled out to massage Springsteen's ego. Here's Wilson's original recorded at a slower pace than the live version posted on this thread.

It was Sam Moore, not Sam Cooke, he died in 1964.
It was the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame 25th anniversary concert at Madison Square Garden in 2009.
All the guests on the song were performing that night and they came together for a super group sing song
Higher and Higher, a Jackie Wilson song is occasionally sung by Bruce at his concerts.
