Without properly trained support it's hard to expect them to become a military success overnight. They seem to be made up of new inexperienced recruits who struggle to even step in time when marching. I wouldn't fancy being sent out to fight IS after just a few weeks training with other newbies by my side. Surprised they don't blow up or booby trap the equipment before they flee though.
