They don't do it via spoken word. They ask people to mock vote and put it in a box, anonymous like the election itself.

Very accurate, except in 1992 which was a monumental balls up.
1992 was not one of the last 3 elections and in actual fact was one of the reasons why the polls peeps got their act together. At the time it was not considered a massive balls up as such either, for the record.
