Transport workers at the country's largest train operator - Deutsche Bahn - started a seven-day rail strike this week. Rail unions are seeking a 5pc pay rise and a two-hour reduction in their weekly work hours.

Wouldn't happen in the UK......well wait a couple of days then we will see.

You somehow get the feeling that German train operators on a strike day will still have a better time-keeping record than UK train operators on a normal day.

Wouldn't it? Guess who runs the rail freight in the UK.
