Anyone know anything about him? Seemingly on trial and from Spurs. One for the DS I assume?

He was on trial at Ipswich last week. Guess that means he wasn't good enough for them. Next he'll go to Rotherham for a week and he'll probably find his level at somewhere like Crawley.

Hardly inspiring.

Spurs' Akindayini Trialing With Brighton and Hove Albion

Tottenham Hotspur striker Daniel Akindayini is undergoing trials at Championship outfit Brighton and Hove Albion ahead of a potential switch in the summer.
The 19 - year - old featured for The Seagulls in their 1 - 0 loss to Arsenal in the Under 21 Premier League Division Two on Monday, lasting 80 minutes on the pitch before he was subbed out.
Everything indicates that Akindayini will end his collaboration with Tottenham Hotspur in the coming weeks as the Londoners have permitted him to test with a few clubs despite being under contract.
The teenager first tried his luck at Ipswich Town and was involved in their 2-0 loss to Bristol City's Under 21 team on April 20.
Born in Plaistow, East London, the Anglo-Nigerian has been on the books of Spurs for the past three years.
Akindayini finished as Spurs' Under 18s top scorer last season, netting 15 goals in 27 appearances in the Barclays U18 Premier

Or how about ... he's a cracking prospect but isn't going to sign with the first club that invite him to a trial. He'll look at a few clubs, and sign for the club with the best facilities, coaching and opportunities.

Played for U21s against Arsenal but something is not right because his goal scoring record at Spurs is quite good, he is young why have they released him or willing to let him go. Could be a Kane in the making but then again may not.

That's quite presumptuous. Who knows why they didn't sign him? Palace rejected Bridcutt after he had a trial with them, before he joined us.

Maybe he has chosen to leave as the route to the first team is blocked? Maybe Spurs don't feel he will top end premier league good?

I understand that but he was top scorer in their u18s so would have expected them to stick with him for 12 months to see if he developes or not.

Not that old herring again he came and had 1 closed doors trial with us and the manager, I think it was Chris Catlin said no, as happens many times.

With our new academy and our track record of reviving flagging careers, I'm sure he'd gladly pay us for the chance to warm the bench. Doesn't mean we should have him though.

There will always be plenty of academy players at the top 8 Premier League clubs who are told at 18 or 19 they'll be better off looking for a new club to develop their career.
