We usually get these threads after every match, so thought it'll be interesting to hear everyone's view of each individual over the whole season! Here's your chance to become a pundit; give your opinions on all Brighton players! I also believe Acker has all the weekly scores recorded, so it'll be interesting to see how this thread differes to that data - Like, how much will Gorden Greer's poor form catch up with his 'good' start to the season.

Stockdale - 6 a 1 million pound signing automatically raises expectations. Unfortunately, those expectations of a consistent shot-stopper were not matched. A mixed bag for David. Lots of match winning saves, lots of match loosing blunders. But, he looks like the right type of character you want at a football club. Hopefully he kicks on next season and justifies that ONE MILLION price tag.

Bruno - 6 Bruno is mister liability at times. This season though, he was often one of the only players who looked like he knew what to do. As always, good going forward. Was asked to preform an impossible task under Sami, did okay considering his age and pace. Hopefully we don't have to ask him to play in midfield again!

Calderon - 7 One of few to show passion and commitment. He wasn't our best player, but never let us down either. Average performances every game but needed to fill a gab in midfield which was left by piss poor summer activity + March getting injured. Popped up with goals too, which have heavily contributed to keeping us up.

Greer - 5 Started this season off like he finished the last - mostly solid. But... He then returned from Scotland duty and his form heavily dipped. He looks slower than ever, and often miss passes the football. Will need to find another CB next season no doubt (assume Halford will not renew), and hopefully one which can replace Gordon's role as a leader.

Dunk - 8 Pretty much carried he defence on many occasions. His end of season form didn't match the high precedent he set early on, but that's manly down to our whole team playing negativity. Top goal scorer too, which speaks volumes about our front men.

Halford - 6 Did 'okay' and was a very useful squad player. He played CB, RB, CM and CF and never let us down... Whilst also never setting the world alight. Sadly, he's not the right type of character to be a squad player, so we should set our sights higher if Brighton want to challenge for top six.

J.Bennett - 6 Very good running with the ball and positioning. Not a great defender and often fluffed up chances with poor crossing. Would like a permanent LB who is our own next year.

Ince - 7 The best holding midfielder we had, even though he can lose position with loose passing or control. However, he is meeting his potential more and more with every game he plays. He was superb today (Boro) and can be unbeatable on his day.

Stephens - 5 A season plagued with an injury meant he started his comeback slowly. He did a lot better than his predecessors, but the whole team form dipped as he comeback. That's not Dale's fault, but hard to rate him higher. A few useful goals, though.

JFC - 3 Not much to say here. Him and Gardner were asked to play an odd position under Sami, but he should have done better. Such a shame we don't see his England u21 form in a Brighton shirt. Maybe he's a player best suited for a team on form, not a team fighting relegation? Short passing and no creativity, plus his frustrating mistakes, makes him not good enough for the first team. Still has time on his side to improve.

Holla - 4 Such pedigree, such disappointment.

Gardner - 4 Ditto ^. He gets a whole point from that Wigan scrappy goal which turned out to be very important.

Kayal - 8 Looks like a ****ing fantastic signing! Brightest spark during our latter season slump. Looks incredibly strong and clever. He'll be a very integral player next season.

March - 6 Didn't have many opportunities due to injury. When he did play, he looked okay and had a few really nice moments. He offers excitement, something lacking all season.

Teixeira - 7 The only player we had who showed technique and flare. Sadly, he didn't start every weak and often lost the ball. Hopefully we don't rely on a youngster on loan again next season.

LuaLua - 6 Did okay when played as an impact sub. Still lacks some consistency. Still baffles me why CH didn't start him more over Calderon. Kaz may not be an ideal top 6 championship starter, but why not give it a ago?? LuaLua carries a threat going forward, which is where we struggled to produce.

Colunga - 4 Home sick and showed. Hope we can replace Ulloa + Barnes properly this season. We need a 15 goal a season striker, anyone will do!

Baldock - 6 Picked up an injury just as he started to find a little bit of form. He was often played out wide and did okay. He scored a few when given the chance as a striker. Eager to see more of him next season.

CMS - 4 What can I say which hasn't already been said? He tries hard, but can't score. 2.5M for his services, costing almost 200K a goal once wages are factored in.

O'Grady - 5 Never settled properly, thus was never given a proper chance early doors. In theory, a CMS / COG partnership had promise - but it never got given a chance. Instead, Sami played a silly formation and was stubborn ti change to two up top.

The rest were either short loan deals or didn't feature enough.

Would agree with most but one change:
O'Grady cost £500k, scored one League goal in total and wanted to leave back in October, and will leave this summer. He doesn't deserve a rating as high as 5

Stockdale - 6 - he'll be disappointed with his season, though by his own admission wasn't match fit initially.
Walton - 7 - a good season for him, got some games, never let anyone down

Bruno - 6 - age beginning to creep up on him, one of our better performers
Calderon - 6 - enthusiasm and commitment excellent, sadly ability does not match it.
Greer - 5 - started quite steady, but since his injury has been a liability at times. Provides leadership, but that's about it.
Dunk - 7 - good until Christmas, generally shocking in the latter part of the season. Lacks concentration, defends on his heels.
Halford - 6 - Did okay, and arguably one of the better loans, but just feel we should be looking at better players
Hughes - 5 - not really given much of a chance, but presumably hasn't stood out in training.
Bennett - 5.5 - great going forward, fairly hopeless defensively. I know some like him, but hope he doesn't return
Chicksen - 5 - Okay at times, woefully out of his depth for the rest. Time to off-load.

JFC - 5.5 - played too deep by Hyypia and not fast enough in that position, better further forward, but not done a lot since Hughton took over
Holla - 5.5 - great range of passing, but lacks pace at this level. The level and pace of the game probably came as a shock to him.
Gardner - 4 - limited effort and apparently limited ability. Still managed to 'scuff' two shots that went in.
Ince - 6.5 - Rarely let anyone down and surprised he wasn't played more towards the end.
March - 5.5 - Flatters to deceive. Too many touches little creativity, too light. Hopefully will have a better season injury wise.
Texeirra - 6.5 - 4 or 5 excellent games, the rest very average.
Stephens - 6 - did okay after such a long lay-off, will need to kick on next season
Kayal - 7.5 - arguably our only 'premier league ready' player
KLL - 6 - not too bad for the first part of the season, needs to be more consistent
E.Bennett - 6 - Not the player he was, but was here for fitness and hopefully will regain his form.
Carayol - 5 - Did very little, another here for fitness.

O'Grady - 5.5 - holds the ball up well, but not good enough - poor finisher and should only be a reserve.
CMS - 5 - usual headless chicken performances, poor finisher, poor touch and looked out of his depth.
Best - 3.5 - just a waste of a loan
Baldock - 5.5 - needs to be played in his correct position, showed promise at times
Colunga - 5 - not given enough chances, a couple of lovely assists

Surprised how high some of these ratings are for a team that would have gone down most years, saved by 3 worse teams.

Stockdale - 5 - frustrating - some good saves but too many errors cost a lot of points. Clearly a good sort, but would like to see us get some of our £1m back and make Walton no. 1.

Bruno - 5 - too often a liability, age catching up with him, shouldn't have been offered new deal.

Calde - 6 - gets 6 because he's, well, Calde, but he's not a midfielder and legs are going.

Bennett - 4 - can't defend. We paid the price for not tying down Ward deal when we had the chance.

Dunk - 6 - gets points for being top scorer but still think he's overrated. Makes a lot of very costly mistakes. Felt Cook was the better prospect a couple of years ago and looks right now. Not good enough for promotion team and if we can cash in we should.

Greer - 5 - been a fan over the years but tailed off as season wore on, suggesting age getting better of him.

Halford - 6 - his versatility proved useful and felt we shored up a bit when he started to play more regularly.

Chicksen - 5 - seems to not do much wrong when he plays without ever looking that good. Have to wonder if he'll ever be good enough if he can't displace Bennett.

Ince - 7 - completely bemusing why he keeps getting dropped. Mom or close to most times he plays - not the finished article yet but a million times better prospect than JFC. Hope we keep him.

Kayal - 8 - class. Must be wondering what the hell he's gotten himself into.

Stephens - 5 - decent player but struggling to get up to speed after big injury. Could be important next year if we can keep him fit.

Holla - 3 - what a disappointment. Nice dead balls do not a dominant midfielder make.

JFC - 3 - woeful. We look a worse side with him in it - no drive or pace to his game, always takes the easy (usually sideways) option, the opposite of Kayal who always looks forward first. If he makes the England u21s team the country is in worse shape than we realise.

Gardner - 3 - prem quality my a***

Lua Lua - 5 - so frustrating. Has talent, looks dangerous against tiring legs but can't do it for 90 mins. Be happy to see him leave.

March - 4 - did nothing to note all season, albeit injured for much of it. Hasn't kicked on, still looks lightweight.

CMS - 3 - thank god his contract is over. Put one of us on the pitch and we'd run around a lot and try hard, it wouldn't make us a Championship level striker.

O'Grady - 5 - another trier but does at least positively influence the game. Makes perhaps the best fist out of our 4-5-huge gap to-1 formation.

Baldock - 6 - think he's a decent player who would be great in a front two. Looks like he can finish. Not a left winger though.

Best - 3 - proves how desperate we were-are.

Colunga - 2 - ill suited to Championship. Poor recruitment (again).

Tex - 7 - often the only class on pitch (until Kayal arrived). Up and down but to be expected at his age. Hope injury not too bad, would love to have him back.

Hughes/carayol/crofts/Walton/e Bennett - not played enough to rate.

Stockdale - 5.5. Loads of ability and makes some wonderful saves, but not the keeper we need. Seems to lack concentration and simply too error prone. Bad buy.

Walton - 7. Very early days, but what we've seen looks promising. Commands his box well - deserves a run as No.1 next year.

Bruno - 6. One of the few with real natural ability, but time is catching up with him and he shouldn't be first choice next year.

Calde - 6.5. Had a purple patch in the middle of the season when his goals got us out of trouble. Again, he shouldn't be first choice, but still has enough about him to make a contribution next year.

Greer - 5.5. Started the season well but he is another stalwart who looks past his best. May only have 1 season left in him at Championship-level and should not be an automatic pick next year.

Dunk - 7. Would be an '8' for the first half of the season, but just a '6' for the second. Has plenty of ability and is an asset at set pieces, yet his lapses in concentration make him a liability at times. Next year a big season for him if he aspires to play in the Premiership.

Halford - 6. One of our better loans and his adaptability makes his a good squad player. Found out against some of the better players in the division, so would have mixed feelings about him coming back next year.

Bennett. 5.5. A '7' for his ability going forward, but just a '4' for his ability as a defender. We must find a left-back who is comfortable defending and going forward.

Ince - 6.5. Perhaps our most promising player, but a stop start season having not played much under Hyypia and then seeing a loss of form late on. If he fulfils his potential next year he could be one of the best players in the division.

Kayal - 7.5. Has been one of the few pluses. Let's hope he can stay injury free.

Stevens - 6. Has shown moments of class since coming back from injury, but not consistently enough. Still has plenty to prove with us.

JFC - 5.5. Disappointing. Has never really stamped his mark on the games he has started. May lack the pace and physique to accompany his undoubted passing ability - but has time on his side to improve.

Holla - 5. Started off well and seemed to bring a touch of class to the midfield, then tailed off dramatically - apparently because the number of games and physicality of the championship got the better of him. Would like to think our coaching squad have worked out whether a good pre-season will get him up to the level required next year, or whether he is one we need to say goodbye to.

Gardner - 3.5. Just awful.

Texeira - 7. At times wonderful to watch but also incredibly naive. Ability to lose ball in dangerous areas was a frustration. Improved has the season went on.

Lua Lua - 6. One of the few to excel under Sami, but a great goal against Derby apart, has struggled a bit in the second half of the season. I think people should get used to the fact that he is never going to be consistent in a starting 11. As an impact sub who poses problems for tired defenders, he is still very much worth his place in the squad.

March - 6. Struggled with injury. Has pace and ability but is also one-footed. Another who has plenty to prove and needs a good season next year.

COG - 5.5. Made a good contribution in a few games, including the important win at Fulham, but ultimately strikers get judged on goals and he is simply not good enough in this department.

CMS - 5. Energy and endeavour - but that's about it. Great bloke, so everyone will wish him well wherever he ends up.

Baldock - 6.5. Did okay, mainly playing out of position. Lingering doubts over his ability to score regularly at this level, but needs to be given more of a chance to do so.

Best - 4.5. Some criticism has been a bit OTT. Probably showed more ability than the other strikers, but lacked urgency and application. A poor loan.

Colunga - 5. Showed glimpses of ability but too lightweight. Ability from the penalty spot a plus, but overall, another failure.

What a good reflection of the season ratings - agree. Hopefully we can build around Kayal, Ince and Dunk!

I can't hack doing this right now but I thought Bruno 7.5 Looked very comfortable on the ball, was rarely beaten by a full back (so much so that the opposing wingers switched) and kept free from injury, but alas can't really hack it as a right winger as well.

I can't see him getting any better and we need cover at right back as I can't see him injury free from now on. Let down on the role he was expected to play under Hyypia. With Dale Stephens in the team he was able to be more adventurous.

Kayal 7.5 looked the business with B Horton/Curbishley/Danny Wilson/Bridcutt role if not as good at the set pieces but has an inch in acceleration.

Lualua 7, still hasn't realised his potential. Played in his wrong position (too deep and too wide), comfortable on the ball, acceleration an essential component, rarely runs into space.
