I notice a French second division striker is denying he could be interested in us. The Albion is no longer a very attractive proposition it seems as very few decent players seem keen to come to us, unless it is for recuperation or a last payday.

Having a fabulous stadium and great training facilities doesn't seem to be enough...

Yes, but I think we'll struggle to bring in anyone who has their heart set on top flight football now. Good to see we're making firm enquiries though, certainly seems we're at least trying to move quicker than last season.

Typical non story.

"However Le Bihan, formerly with Sedan, has told an Argus source in Le Havre that his priority is to secure a move to the French top flight."

That's exactly what I hope a player would say in a team pushing for promotion, even if he is planning to move. What else is he going to say? I've always wanted top play for Brighton and this could be my dream come true?

I am sure all players wanting to play in the equivalent of the PL are hardly going to say that they want to come to a second division side at the beginning of the transfer window.

And as for Colunga, he will have to come back to us and work doubly hard to get his career back on track then, if this move falls through.

Yes, we missed out on Virgil Van Dijk too.

Oh wait, that was 2013....

Brighton and Hove Albion about to overtake FC Nantes on file Le Bihan
FC Nantes will have to be more practical in his approach to get a transfer Mickaël Le Bihan Le Havre AC. Placed in order of priority by FC Nantes next summer, Mickaël Le Bihan is also in the viewfinder of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club. And the formation of the Channel account to every means his side to try to win the French striker in the summer transfer window approaching. This will, however, take into account the interests of each party including that of Chairman of HAC ensures everything not to lose the player end of the season. "We must first of all we have the resources to begin negotiations. (...) Mickaël (...) is an important asset to build a competitive team. We will do everything to convince him to stay, "says the boss of Le Havre AC.
Departure from Le Bihan? His agent open for all eventualities
A desire of the President of HAC that seems not to go in the same direction as that of the player's agent. The latter does not exclude any possibility, and considers that its product has the ability to shine on the other side of the Channel. "Everything is possible. Mickaël is a complete striker and generous in his efforts, sometimes too, which has the qualities to fit everywhere, including 2 D English, "says the representative of entrusting Le Bihan.

Well the last striker we got from Le Havre turned out to be immense, let's hope that if this player is a genuine talent that we pursue him and manage to reach a valuation quickly.

Reminds me of being absolutely GUTTED when we missed out on the similar signing of Andy Delort last year. He went to Wigan, and proved unable to get a place even in their shambles of a side.

The key is we are making moves now, not delaying most of our business until after the new season has started as per normal, whether this deal comes off or not.

Yes agreed - good to be in the market before the season has ended rather than when it is about to begin (as long as it isn't a couple of months ahead of failed attempts to lure players)

Delort's failure might be off-putting for other French players but Knockaert shows that players from Ligue 2 can be a success.

Le Havre will not be going up this year and are on their uppers. Planned takeover didn't happen - sure the player will go if he wants to.
