ALBION boss Chris Hughton will build his bid to turn the club back into Championship promotion contenders next season around Beram Kayal and Dale Stephens.
The displays of the midfield duo offered Hughton hope in the 2-0 defeat by Premier League-bound Watford at the Amex.
Kayal has starred since the Seagulls bought him from Celtic in January.
Stephens only returned to action in February after ten months out with ankle damage.
Hughton told The Argus: “I thought Dale and Beram were very good. “When you think that Beram has come in on the back of not much football before he came here, it will be an important summer for both of them. They are two very good all-round players.”
Albion’s 19th league defeat of the season, and fourth straight home game without scoring, overshadowed mathematical safety being secured by Millwall’s 3-3 draw at home to Derby.

Promotion for Watford was sealed by Troy Deeney’s 21st goal of the season, a late second from sub Matej Vydra and Middlesbrough’s subsequent 4-3 defeat at Fulham.
Bournemouth will also be up if they beat Bolton at home tonight. That would leave Albion’s last day hosts Boro in the play-offs.
