If the EU decided to disperse migrants from outside of Europe to other EU countries rather than sending them back to where they've come from ???

The reality is the region's in a mess because of decisions made by the West. Whether they were for good intentions or not is for another debate. We at least owe them a form of protection. The problem is that Southern EU member states bear the greatest financial burden of the refugees, so the EU would need to find away for an equal proportion of funds being spent to help the member states already using millions if not billions a year on trying to maintain their borders.

We cannot criticise ISIS and other actors committing atrocities, whom these refugees are escaping whilst we send them home.

Send them right back where they came from, and quickly. If they want a "better life" then they need to get involved in sorting out the problems in their own countries, not fleeing to someone else's.

If genuine refugees then yes.

A refugee is a person who is outside their home country because they have suffered (or feared) persecution on account of race, religion, nationality, or political opinion; because they are a member of a persecuted social category of persons; or because they are fleeing a war. Such a person may be called an "asylum seeker" until recognized by the state where they make a claim.[1]

Well that's half the third world then:moo:

Given the impact that the US (world police!) has had in the region and the huge areas of land they have available, they should surely be taking their fare share of these migrants?

Actually the Mediterranean catastrophe is minimal compared to the migration of people's from Southern and Central America into the southern states.

It's strange. Since 2008 employment is the area of the US economy that has done the worst. So really low income job seekers don't want to come to the States as they once did. Immigration problems at the Mexican border are not nearly what they used to be. Central American refugees from drug cartels and lawless gangs are flooding Mexico. They would go the the US but they aren't finding it that much better to justify the hoops the US govt requires. Learning english being one of them.
