The following phrases are used on here?

"The squad needs time to gel?"
"The new players need to bed in"
"It's a transitional period"
"It'll take a bit of time for all the new players to click"

First pre-season defeat to Crawley?
Opening day defeat to Birmingham?

That's assuming we get the 15 new players everyone thinks we need

You forgot "we're working hard to bring in new players before training starts / before the friendlies begin / before the pre-season tour / ahead of the first game of the season / just before the transfer window shuts / as soon as the loan window opens"

I reckon 6 FIRST TEAM new recruits, along with direct replacements for Dunk, Ince, O'Grady, and Holla if they leave.

Or maybe it will be:
- a bit different to last season..... or
- looks like we really mean business now ..... or
- never expected to see us so fast out of the blocks.

I am ever the optimist, but you never know......
