From a Palarse fans perspective this is disappointing news. Apart from being a Palarse diehard, Speroni is, in my opinion at least, a better keeper than Tim Krul.

Stockdale has made quite a few shot stopping errors this season which have lead to a number of goals. However his distribution is top class and his commanding on the area is good too (from corners). I'll only judge him fully when I've seen him behind a solid defence, so far this season our defence has been average at best.

Personally don't rate Krull, not for £10 mill.
I'm sure Speroni had a clause in this years contract, that he would get another year after so many games, and he's been ever present.
Jules is Palace through and through, and he will stay at the club in some capacity for a few more years.

Am I the only one who thinks of Elvis whenever Krul's name comes up? Unfortunately the chant potential is rather limited.

I am not DS biggest fan as is most obvious, but I wouldnt rate Speroni any betteer and we have more pressing needs than to replace our No 1 with an equal. I can fully understand why Pardew would want Krul but if he leaves Newcastle it will be to a top 6 side.

As did De Gea in his first season as keeper. Stockdale is a youngish keeper, mistakes will happened. He's not Buffon, neither are we going to get a Buffon.
