West Ham's cheapest adult season ticket in that season will cost £289, down from between £620 and £940 for the 2014-15 campaign.

The 2016-17 season will be the club's first playing in the Olympic Stadium.

West Ham's vice-chairman Karren Brady said: "We have always said that the move to our magnificent new stadium would be a game changer for West Ham.

"It was a chance to increase revenue, invest in the team and improve our performance on the pitch, but without putting an extra financial burden on the supporters who already come to watch every home match.

"This announcement proves we have kept our promise."

If you've a projected £110m in TV revenue coming in *every* year, (Albion's TV revenue for 16/17 if in the Championship will be under £10m) then that does give you a few more options.
NB: West Ham's TV revenue this year is about £75m yet they've "increased" ticket prices for next season... (15/16). Good old Hammers.

They'll be in trouble if they go down. They'll lose £100 million in TV money (partly offset by parachute payments) and won't exactly be able to readjust the ticket prices upwards, for a lower division. Of course no club ever thinks they'll get relegated.

Agreed. On face of it this looks very encouraging. Clubs, fans and TV all want full stadiums. But lets wait and see the percentage of tickets available at this reduced price, their Away ticket pricing, and the Year Two pricing. And yep. its very difficult to adjust ticket prices back upwards...

Also its the year that they move into the Olympic Stadium so will be looking to fill 19,000 more seats a game.
