It will be the lowest points total a team has ever stayed up in the second tier of English football since it was expanded to 24 teams. A little context to how poor a season we have had....

Alternatively the league was very poor as three teams finished lower then us

Not true. Brum stayed up last year on 44pts

All that matters is that we stay up whatever the points. There are many examples in history of teams having a poor season then for whatever reasons having a great season the next or the opposite.

Remember Brighton got 1 game away from the top flight in 91' only to be relegated the next season.

Well this was shot down fairly quickly.....

Personally I couldnt care if we lost both and stayed up, the point is that we have survived of course.
