Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton was left exasperated after his side were held to a goalless draw by Huddersfield Town at the Amex tonight. He said, "It was frustrating. I think our endeavour – certainly in that first half period - was there. We showed an intent to try and break them down and got a lot of crosses in during that first ten or 15 minutes.
"The endeavour was there to solve the problem we have, but it was a frustrating evening in that it was the same as recent weeks; we were not able to get the real good opportunities that we need, particularly at this stage of the season.
"Credit to Huddersfield. They made it hard, got a lot of bodies back behind the ball and they made it very difficult for us.
"As the game opened up we also had to be careful that we didn't lose. They have that bit of pace with the two up front and they caused us some problems, so we had to make sure that we didn't give them those opportunities.
"Arguably if I look at the chances, we had a couple of very good chances, for Calde and Greg [Halford] in that first half but they had one towards the end and we were also reliant on Stocky making a very good save as well."

Hughton feels his team are missing that extra bit of quality they need in the final third to solve their goalscoring problems - and says he shares the crowd's frustration."At the moment we are lacking that little bit of confidence, that little bit of guile and that little bit of quality that you need to get goals.
"We need somebody to produce something, a through-ball or a good run; somebody producing something out of nothing.
"They are a super crowd here who always gets behind us and they got behind us today in what was an extremely frustrating game for them.*
"We all want to be winning games and getting the results that we need to get and the only way that you can do that is by getting goals."
Meanwhile, Hughton says Albion will not know the severity of Joao Teixeira's injury, after he left the field on a stretcher.
"We need to give ourselves some time on that one. He has gone to hospital for an x-ray on his ankle but it is too early to be making assumptions until we know for sure.
"As soon as we can provide the information we will do, but at the moment we are hoping that it is not a bad one.
"Joao has been instrumental in a lot of our good play this season, playing off the front - and we all hope the injury isn't too bad."
