You wouldn't believe it but they have got the Division One/Two fixtures mixed up.

How ridiculous to imagine Surrey and Lancashire ever being in Division Two!

Delusional fool! Of course they are in Div 1. Lancashire are by far and away the finest cricketing county closely followed by those vanguards of skill, spin and panache 'Royal Surrey'. We are lucky enough to be in Minor County Division 4 (South). Oh how we collectively aspire to be such a great county as one of those behemoths.

humbly yours

Peterson will be surprised, Div 2 County Cricket is hardly the premier stage for such a talented player..........................unless he signed just for the money of course.

That's perfect for him. He needs quick runs and where better than at the Oval against Div 2 bowlers?

Really? You reckon Surrey are paying more than the IPL?

I agree though, it seems counter intuitive that he returns to the CC to prove himself and then signs for a div 2 side...

You didn't read it properly, its Surrey B and Lancashire B in Division 2

The first teams are playing in the newly formed "World And New Kings European Regional Super" league tournament reserved for those two teams only. Its based in Dubai so the "100% chance of Manchester rain" doesn't effect the matches and cause a championship title loss for the Lankies , like it has for 38 consecutive seasons.
