Just logged on to Betfair to try and pick a winner for the National and had a quick look at the relegation odds, as, where money is concerned, punters tend to use rational thought as opposed to letting emotional ties of fandom and/or worst case scenarios affect judgement. Currently:
Wigan: 1.05 (20-1 on)
Millwall: 1.14 (50-7 on)
Rotherham: 10
Fulham: 27
Brighton:48
Our odds have actually lengthened after last night's result, so it seems that the football gambling public didn't think that we looked so shambolic, as they still have Fulham and Rotherham at much lower prices despite only being behind on GD and 2 points respectively. If you're the pessimistic type, then stick a tenner on us to go down and it'll pay for your season ticket next year if it happens.
Now, who can give me a decent tip for a horse?
