Crawley. The English Dallas.

100 billion barrels of oil near Gatwick Airport.
So far the North Sea has produced 45 billion.
Will this discovery make Crawley the richest town in the country?
Will there be gushers all around the local countryside?
Will we be self sufficient in oil?
Will Petrol be 2p a litre and income tax almost zero?
Or will the oil companies cream it off the top and the government make huge revenues while the public see little change for themselves?
Is there a family called Ewing living in Crawley?
What with this and fracking we could be like Saudi Arabia in a few years, couldn't we?

So the next question, who is going to be extracting it? are profits generated which are going to billions, is this going to go back in to our economy in the way of jobs, or is it going to be leaving our economy completely.

Will be interesting to see what happens here.

The planes operating from Gatwick airport use the same amount of fuel as all of the cars in the UK put together. Not relevant to this discussion perhaps but interesting.

Crawley. The English Dallas.

It'll be more like the Beverly Hillbillies. Every chav in a shellsuit will be digging up their back garden looking for oil.

Very much this.

It's probably already been decided, your getting nothing.

We'll be able to afford to invade Lesser Sussex and enclave Bexhill, for those refusing to live under the yoke of oppression from their Better Sussex overlords.

Why are their 2 or 3 'nodding donkeys' by Pulborough rugby club?
Is that oil 'rich' as well?
