Boss Chris Hughton has warned Albion they must save themselves after losing to fellow strugglers Rotherham.
Yesterday’s 1-0 defeat in South Yorkshire means they have taken five points from the last 18 and are still looking over their shoulders in the Championship.
Hughton wants his side to secure survival without relying on others.

He told The Argus: “I think that’s the most important thing. We have to get the results we need. Not hope that the other results below us are not so good.
“If you go into it with the mentality of having to rely on the teams below you there are going to be the weeks when that doesn’t happen and they get the good results.
“We’ve got five more games to go, we need to make sure we get the points we need to secure where we are.
“I don’t think it’s going to take many more wins but no results are guaranteed in this division.”
Albion drew a blank for the third time in four games as Matt Derbyshire capitalised on slack defending early on to clip Rotherham’s winner.
Hughton said: “Our form has been okay. We are having difficulty getting the goals we need.
“That’s the area that puts more pressure on us. We’ve got to get that right formula of making sure we either keep clean sheets or get the goals that are going to win us games.”
