Brighton Schoolgirl wrong just so wrong....

Brighton factually.....
A VULNERABLE schoolgirl was forced into prostitution after running away from home following a row with her father.

The 16-year-old Brighton girl was picked up by an older man who manipulated her over several days with sex, drugs and alcohol, before she was introduced to two men who paid a total of £100 to sexually abuse her.
Yesterday those three and a fourth man were convicted of conspiring to arrange the prostitution of a child, in the first case of its kind in Sussex. Two other men were cleared of all charges.
Christopher Kayla-Joseph, now 27, started talking to the teenager, now 18, in Eastbourne after she had caught the bus there following the argument with her father, on an evening in May 2013.
He invited her back to his flat in Elphick Road, Newhaven, and over the next few days repeatedly had sex with her and gave her alcohol, cannabis and cocaine, jurors at Hove Crown Court heard.
On Monday, June 3 he again invited her around to his flat before taking her to the home of Mohammed Kamali, 46, in Harper Road, Newhaven.
There she was introduced first to Stephen Daramola, 48, who sexually assaulted her and then gave her £40, which Kayla-Joseph later took from her.

Next she was handed to Khosrow Sobhanieh, now 56, of North Lane, Guestling. He raped her once and tried to rape her again, before he gave Kayla-Joseph £40.
Prosecutors described Kayla-Joseph as the “prime mover” in the exploitation, but said all four were complicit.
Kayla-Joseph did not face any charges over having sexual intercourse with the teenager, which prosecutors said she complied with so she would not upset him.
Prosecutor Richard Barton said the case was a "vivid illustration of how a young, vulnerable girl can be exploited so very easily by older men for their own sexual gratification and monetary gain"
All four men were unanimously convicted of conspiring to arrange the prostitution of a child after a three-week trial.

Just wrong, oh so wrong sometimes I am ashamed to be male. Women have to put up with so much sometimes it's disgusting.

Just vile. Makes my stomach churn. As you said, makes me ashamed to be a male as well.
Absolutely terrible for the girl but should not feel ashamed for being male! I'm very proud to be male, like billions of us who live life to benefit and enrich the life's of our loved ones and others around us. Just would never think of abusing another human being in that kind of way.

I'm glad you said that. Let's not demonise a whole gender: people can be ***** - male or female.

Shame or pride should be taken from your own actions or achievements anyway. Although, if stuff like this does make you ashamed, then the antidote is to consider that there are a lot of great men as well.

Should be deported from this country if they don't hold British passports.

You clearly haven't seen their charges... convicted of "conspiring to arrange prostitution of a child" is just one of them, but in addition to that charges of rape and supplying class A drugs.

They'll be locked up for a long time, don't you worry - have faith in the British justice system.

.....and some faith in their fellow inmates who may be equally disgusted and decide to dish out some further 'justice'

Thankfully, Sussex police took action when they heard of this poor girl's story, unlike several other forces in the country.

That's the problem as I've none and will monitor this case and really hope they get appropriate sentences so to send out a clear message for future perpetrators.

Horrific story - unfortunately shot like this happens far to often.

Quick question though, they keep saying they got charged with 'child' this and that - yet she was 16? Is it 16 the legal age for consential sex but 18 to be considered an adult?

Under 18 is considered a minor, therefore a child.
The prostitution & rape charges would take her age into account.

Kayla-Joseph did not face any charges over having sexual intercourse with the teenager, which prosecutors said she complied with so she would not upset him.
This takes into account that she was over 16.

It looks as though the police have brought another child exploitation gang to court.

Three men and three boys have appeared in court on charges relating to alleged child sexual exploitation in Crawley.
Guilliam Augustin, 18, a student, of Sunningdale Court, Brighton Road, Crawley; Andrew Rose, 19, a cleaner, of Sorrel Close, Crawley; Louis Volfrin, 25, a cleaner, of Eddington Hill, Crawley; and three boys, two aged 16 and one aged 17, also all from Crawley. appeared in custody at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Saturday (28 March).
Augustin was charged with sexual activity with a child; Rose was charged with rape and with engaging in sexual activity with a child: Volfrin was charged with rape; one of the 16-year-old boys was charged with one rape, with causing actual bodily harm, with affray, with supplying cannabis, and with sexual assault; the other 16-year-old was charged with rape; the 17-year-old was charged with two rapes, engaging in sexual activity with a child, and with sexual assault.
The case was committed to Lewes Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on Friday 20 April and the defendants were all given court bail.
On Thursday (26 March), Crawley detectives executed search warrants at several addresses and the arrests were made during the same day. The operation was supported by officers and staff from other areas in Sussex.
The six were charged on Friday evening (27 March), on the authority of the Crown Prosecution Service.
A Sussex police spokesman said: "These charges follow an investigation into allegations received for the first time last month that between October 2013 and February 2014, two local girls, then aged between 13 and 15, were victims of sexual offences at two addresses in Crawley.
"The investigation is still at an early stage and we are working closely with partner agencies to ensure that the girls' welfare is a priority.
"Anyone who has concerns or information can always contact us via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting Operation Data. All such calls will be taken seriously and you can arrange to talk in confidence to experienced detectives."

Have received sentences ranging from 5 to 14 years, good work by Sussex Police especially when compared with police forces in Rotherham, Sheffield, Blackburn etc.
