England Rugby 2015 has confirmed the 15 official Rugby World Cup 2015 fanzone locations in each host city across England and in Cardiff.

The fanzones will be free to enter and shall be open on matchdays at varying times across the six-week period, giving fans the opportunity to celebrate the tournament coming to the country.

Each fanzone will include a big screen; with some showing live Rugby World Cup 2015 matches, rugby activities, food and drink, entertainment and unique regional content to celebrate each host city’s involvement in Rugby World Cup 2015.

The capacities will range between 2,000 and 15,000, with the Madeira Drive site in Brighton set to be opened for three days and will hold up to 10,000 spectators.

Trafalgar Square will be opened from the weekend of the semi-finals until the final and include entertainment, food and drink, and rugby activities on the Semi-Final, Bronze Final and Final matchdays.

Outside of matchdays, the Square, along with a number of the official fanzones, will play host to grassroots and community rugby initiatives to celebrate the game and the wider tournament.A map of the fanzone locations and their opening dates can be viewed here.

Supporters can also look forward to seeing the famous Web Ellis Trophy after the details for the UK and Ireland trophy tour were confirmed today.

Following an international tour taking in locations across Canada, Germany and France, the trophy will visit our shores on 10th June to mark 100 days to go until the opening match.

It will travel through Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Wales and England, counting down to the start of the tournament, before arriving at Twickenham Stadium on 18th September ahead of the opening ceremony.
The trophy visits Brighton on 31st August and 1st September, giving local fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the Rugby World Cup.

Debbie Jevans, chief executive officer of England Rugby 2015, said, “We are pleased to deliver another tournament first with an official fanzone in every host city as well as additional fanzones in Rugby – the birthplace of the game – and London’s Trafalgar Square.
"We have worked with all our host cities, local authorities and the Mayor of London to identify a range of fantastic locations including city centres, parks, match venues and waterfronts to give fans, residents and visitors a uniquely regional experience and a focal point for celebrating the tournament and the wider game of rugby.
