We’re focusing on the here and now"
Charley Boswell

Brighton & Hove Albion women’s defender Charley Boswell says the team need to put last weekend’s disappointing defeat to Portsmouth behind them as they prepare for Sunday's showdown with league leaders Cardiff City.
*
With just eight games remaining James Marrs’s side is third in the FA Women’s Premier League Southern Division, four points behind the Bluebirds.
*
Boswell told seagulls.co.uk: “There are a lot of things that can be looked at that didn't happen last week.
*
"It’s very easy to walk away from a loss and everyone focuses on the negatives.

*
“We've come together as a group, talked about it and we’re just going to take it training session by training session, and game by game.
*
"We are not just talking about the future and where we want to be getting - we’re focusing on the here and now.”
*
“It’s easy to get caught up thinking of the title race and the Super League, but ultimately you’re not going to get there if you can’t produce in the here and now.
*
“We need to get back to focusing on ourselves, working hard in every session and get our targets out and what the manager expects from us as individuals and as a group.
*
“There have been times when we have diverted away from that."

*
“This season we've been doing quite well with our fan base and sometimes when you haven’t got a stand or a place for them to go, it can affect the atmosphere.
*
“The fans have been incredible and they've been here for every game."This Sunday’s game takes place at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, kick-off 2.30pm. Entry to the game is on an all-ticket basis and all tickets for the match have now been sold.
