With 8 games to go we have an 8 point gap to protect but have to play the top 4 & 2 of the bottom 5.

I have 2 questions

How many points will we need & how many points do you think we will get out of

Blackburn (a)
Norwich (h)
Rotherham (a)
Bournemouth (h)
Huddersfield (h)
Wigan (a)
Watford (h)
Boro (a)

Wigan fixtures

Bolton (h)
Bora (a)
Derby(h)
Fulham(a)
Millwall (a)
Albion (h)
Wolves (h)
Brentford (a)

Millwall fixtures

Brentford (a)
Charlton (h)
Watford (h)
Cardiff (a)
Blackburn(a)
Derby(h)
Wolves (a)

Let's hope it dosent come to it but I have noticed that all 3 teams are away on the last day of the season.

I think we may need 49 pts. And we might need to get that total before the last 3 games.

If we get less than that I will not say I am impressed with CH. Better than Hyypia, but still not impressed so far.

Rotherham, Wigan and Huddersfield will be the only teams on that list that I am confident about getting points from.
So, 3 x draws = 3 points, so 45 points total, which could be enough because the bottom 3 teams will never catch up with an 8 point deficit.

Are you basing that on the fact that they are the lowest ranked teams we have to play.

I fancy us to get something at Blackburn on Saturday as they are now out of play off race & will have 1 eye on cup game vs Liverpool.
Also any home game I fancy us to get something from.
I think 5 points from home games & 3 at Blackburn will be enough

If we can pick up 6 points out of those games, 1 win and 3 draws it should be more than enough to stay up. Wigan would need 5 wins to over take us due to our superior goal difference which I just cannot see happening. Any fixture list needs to include Rotherham and Fulham though as they are in more danger than we are both having lost tonight. Although not a great performance last nights point at Millwall is looking very valuable

Wigan and Millwall would end up with 47 and 37 points respectively, you appear to have them currently on 40 pts which is what Rotherham and Fulham have.

We scored 1 goal in our last 5 away games & that was a penalty and you think we will win 2 of our last 4.I hope so

Not convinced Fulham will get many more points this season, so we may only need 2 more wins.

We have to be most confident of a home win vs Huddersfield, and of beating either Rotherham or Wigan.

We are due masses of luck and dodgy decisions vs Bournemouth, so maybe a draw there.

7 points = finish on 49.

We are due masses of luck and dodgy decisions vs Bournemouth.

So that's at least 2 penalties that weren't fouls, a goal when the ball didn't cross the line, a sending off for a god tackle, and the keeper letting a couple of soft goals In so a 7-0 win.

The layers seem to think we are pretty much safe:

I actually think we'll end up beating Bournemouth too.

Let's hope it's the three points that keep them down.

That must be one hell of a tackle

Without a striker that can score a goal I think he has done quite well so far.

42 points will be enough, there is no way the bottom 3 will get this now. However I expect another 10 points in the final 8 games.

Can't see Wigan or Millwall getting another 10 points, One more win and you guys will be safe.
