Of course. An airline pilot moved into a house near a pub I used to work in and m a de a complaint about the noise from the pub. That pissed me off a fair bit.

If someone doesn't do their research before they move somewhere it's their own fault. Shouldn't be allowed to affect things that were in place before they moved in.

Signed with wholehearted support. I am going to one of my favourite local independent venues in Guildford tonight (Boileroom) and it was recently threatened with exactly the same nonsense from a new resident. Where do the next generation of bands learn their craft if these places are forced to close their doors?

Wish I could have added a caveat: Any place that uses a bloke (or woman) with a computer full of backing tracks, a microphone, and a PA (and maybe a guitar which they'll pretend to play....a bit.....some of the time) and advertises it as Live Music should be shut down immediately!
