Chris O'Grady celebrates after scoring from the penalty spot

First published in Albion by Howard Griggs
Chris O'Grady admitted it was a frustrating night for Albion despite bagging his first league goal for the club.
The summer signing confidently converted a 53rd-minute penalty to draw Albion level at Reading.
But they conceded three minutes later to lose 2-1 and stretch a disappointing away run to five games without a win.
O’Grady said: “It was massively disappointing. They had a gameplan and we couldn’t adapt to it.
“They made us play like they wanted us to play and we couldn’t change the style. That is why we couldn’t play our game.
“It wasn’t the type of pitch to play football on which is our style so we struggled.”

O’Grady revealed he got the nod from the touchline to take the second-half penalty but it was not enough to earn a valuable away point after a recent revival at the Amex.
He said: “I felt like I could step up and put it away and then the call came from the side that I was taking it. I hoped it would be enough to spur us on but it wasn’t quite to be.”
