Back in the day I'd have been keen to watch two cup heavyweights duking it out for a place in the FA Cup semi-finals.
Now I'll be surprised if I make it to halftime.

Anyway, here's your thread, now get on with it.

Hopefully there'll be some spice to it.No doubt Frankenstein will be pointing out the fact that they have had 68.45% possession again.

Sadly that level of 'spice' is unlikely to be on show.
Even if it was, the fact it would then be the opening news story for the next week would soon ruin the 'enjoyment'.

Hopefully I'm leaving myself wide open for a :bounce:tastic wrongfest.
Doubtful but you never know.

It's all about the semi final draw.

I strongly imagine it will be Arse/United v Villa, and Reading/Bradford v Steven Gerrard, thus enhancing Steven Gerrard's chances of fulfilling the media's dream by winning the FA Cup on Steven Gerrard's birthday in what should be Steven Gerrard's final appearance for Steven Gerrard's Liverpool.

What do you think the narrative will be for such a game?

Can't say I've given it the slightest thought

Though there are rumours that Steven Gerrard may be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. Odd really: you'd have thought the various football broadcasting giants would have mentioned it?

Given that the Final is on his actual birthday, and the fact that he has been such a loyal servant to the Club over the years, I really hope that Liverpool get him a ticket.

Cynic! Probably right though. Seems to have been a lot premier teams drawn against each other this year.

Now I've started it's hard to focus on the game.

I can't work out if I'm really out of touch or the advertising isn't for the English market.

Loving the juxtaposition of the neon hoardings and the fans 'bleeding red and black' banners on the nearside of Old Trafford.

Utd denied a clear penalty when Young falls over in the penalty area.

One promotion and who knows what we might see in neon around the hallowed Amex?
Very true.
I'm just assuming it's in my best interest to point the finger now...

...while I still can.

1-0 to Arsenal.

Brilliantly quick feet from Oxlade-Chamberlain to dance through three defenders and a surprisingly assured finish from Monreal.
