Using mobile phones with hearing aids

Does anyone out there have hearing aids and use a mobile phone with them via the T-loop?

I got a new phone last week - Samsung Galaxy S5 - but the "hearing aid mode" is missing from the accessibility options under hearing, despite checking beforehand that the phone should work in this way.

Carphone Warehouse have done what they can, and are willing to change it - but I couldn't go for an I-phone (different tariff). They got Samsung to phone me, expecting they would remotely provide a software patch or something, but all they could suggest was that I go to my local O2 shop (my network) to see one of their technical blokes. That bore no fruit either.

So does anybody out there successfully use this type of facility and, if yes, what is your phone's model.

I'm not expecting any success here, not because I don't trust NSC, but because it is a bit specialist.

Doesn't effect me fortunately but I have come across the problem and was told that Samsung missed/forgot to include the T-loop facility. From what I was told there is no solution although surely someone somewhere with an enterprising outlook...........??

Thanks. The more you look in to it, the more murky it becomes. Sony and LG are apparently quite good at it.

There are other solutions, like buying hearing aid bits of kit which will work with phones, MP3 players/I-pods etc, but the one I think I would go for is £180+. I will probably eventually do that anyway.

I can't help feeling I should take it up as a disability rights issue, but I haven't got the energy.

Don't know the cost, but spec savers do a device that attaches to the hearing aid which then connects to a stand alone device via Bluetooth to the phone.
