Albion defender Joe Bennett has put his future on hold until the end of the season.
The left-back on loan from Aston Villa spoke in January about the possibility of joining the Seagulls permanently.
Tim Sherwood has now replaced Paul Lambert as manager at Villa Park, where Bennett has a year left on his contract.**
Bennett told The Argus: "I haven't spoken to Tim at all, so I wouldn't be able to say what he is thinking or what he wants me to do.
"I'll have to speak to him at the end of the season but we have got five left-backs at Villa and a lot (of players) out on loan at the moment."
