It is going to be a difficult game with Derby whether they had won, lost or drawn at the weekend as they are a good side"
Dale Stephens

Dale Stephens says Derby County’s shock defeat at Fulham on Saturday will make no difference to when Brighton & Hove Albion welcome the Rams to the Amex on Tuesday night.
*
Steve McClaren’s table-topping side went down 2-0 at Craven Cottage and Stephens is adamant that the challenge County pose remains the same but that Albion are not intimidated to welcome the Championship leaders.
*
Speaking after Albion’s 1-0 loss at Bolton Wanderers the midfielder told seagulls.co.uk, “After a bad result it is definitely good to have a game so quickly but we are in high spirits, confidence is still high in the group and we go into Tuesday’s game confident of getting something.
*
“It is going to be a difficult game with Derby whether they had won, lost or drawn at the weekend as they are a good side. They are where they are for a reason.
*
“Games are coming thick and fast so we have to get over the Bolton defeat as quickly as possible, starting Tuesday.”

Stephens came on for the final 30 minutes of the defeat to Bolton and felt, despite the loss, that Albion are showing they are made of stern stuff on the road.
*
“We are very solid and we have proved that away from home. If we can keep a clean sheet away from home we give ourselves a chance and maybe we can start grabbing a couple of goals on the road.
*
“When you find yourself near the bottom of the table you aim to get a clean sheet first and foremost and then hopefully nick the game.
*
“We haven’t been fluent and goalscoring away from home all season, it is about getting three points and that is the main thing.”
