Everyone is looking forward to showcasing what we’ve got as a team"
Deanna Cooper

Brighton & Hove Albion women’s defender Deanna Cooper is relishing the chance to play at American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, ahead of the Premier League Cup quarter-final tie against Charlton Athletic today, kick-off 2pm.
*
It is the side's first match at the Albion's state-of-the-art training ground, but it is the third time they have faced the Addicks this season.
*
She told seagulls.co.uk, “It’s good knowing that there’s an unbelievable surface at the training ground. We’re there three times a week training so it’s good to have home comforts because we love it there.
*
“We’ve played them twice in the league and it’s gone either way both times we played them (lost 4-1 away and won 5-1 at home).
*
“It’s a big game for us and we know it’s going to be tight ,but we’re prepared for what they have to offer.
*
“We learned a lot from the defeat in the first game and the second time round we played our style of football, which we aim to do again on Sunday.
*
“Everyone is looking forward to showcasing what we’ve got as a team.”

Cooper went onto admit that achieving promotion remains the priority, but says the cup is a welcomed distraction.
*
“The focus for every team is the league because we can gain Super League status, but everyone would like to go as far as they can in all the cups.
*
“We have to take it one game at a time whether it’s a cup or league match and treat it exactly the same as we would for any other game.
*
“Our focus is on Sunday because we’ve got to get through that to progress, but it would be nice to get to the semi-final.”Entry to today's game is on a TICKET-ONLY basis and tickets are no longer available ahead of the match.
