More restaurant advice would be appreciated

I have to entertain two friends coming to Brighton for the evening. One is an ardent vegetarian, the other an equally enthusiastic carnivore. Without breaking the bank, suggestions for a restaurant, rather than pub, would be welcome. Preferably within walking distance, or short taxi ride, of the City centre as we shall be staying there in an hotel.

I'm a dedicated carnivore but I'm always happy to eat at Terre a Terre because the food is so good.

Why not go curry (chilli pickle) or Thai (giggling squid)?

I would say Food for Friends. Have been to both and the latter was far superior IMHO.

Or for something a bit less formal - Coggings and co does excellent veggie burgers.

And I'd say the opposite, although I wouldn't go as far as "far superior" as FFFs is pretty good. Opinions eh? Who'd have em.
