It’s down here at the training ground and the club has been nice enough to allow us to play here, so it will be a momentous occasion. "
James Marrs

Brighton & Hove Albion women’s manager James Marrs hopes that home comforts will benefit his side when they host Charlton Athletic at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre on Sunday, kick-off 2pm.
*
The Premier League Cup quarter-final will be Albion’s first match at the state-of-the-art facility and Marrs says his players are relishing the prospect of playing a fixture there.
*
He told seagulls.co.uk, “We are just pleased to play a game really especially against Charlton in a quarter-final. It’s a great opportunity for us to get a competitive 90 minutes under our belt and to hopefully secure a place in the semi-final.
*
“It will be a massively competitive game; we’ve played them twice in the league and both teams won one game each. It will be a really tight game, I went to go and watch them against Enfield so I’ve found out bit more about them and I’m really looking forward to the match.
*
“It’s down here at the training ground and the club has been nice enough to allow us to play here, so it will be a momentous occasion.“it will be nice for the players to come and play in this environment especially with the conditions of the pitch as well, which will be fantastic. We train here as well, so it should give us a bit of an advantage.”

LATEST NEWS FROM SEAGULLS.CO.UK

Marrs feels that the competition gives his side a unique chance to assess their own standards, with the winners of Sunday’s game playing either southern division leaders Cardiff City or northern division table-toppers Coventry City in the semi-finals.
*
“At this late stage it’s good to chuck all the title contenders in together and see who comes out on top, but it will be an interesting run- in towards the end of this cup whether we’re in it or not.
*
“Out of the two respective divisions, the top teams have all gone through to the last eight and looking to get a place in the last four.
*
“It will be really interesting to see what results come out and it’s always nice to compare the southern division to the northern division, as the league winners of either division will be in a play-off against each other.
*
“It just gives everybody an opportunity to have a look at each other and there are opportunities to look at teams you don’t usually get to look at.”
